Prerequisites

• You have completed the required training and passed the state examination.
• They have the necessary reliability.
• You have not committed any offense that would render you unworthy to practice your profession.
• They are suitable for health reasons.
• You have the knowledge of the German language required to carry out your professional activities.

Documents required

• Proof of identity
• Birth certificate or a current extract from the family register of the parents
• If your name has changed, additionally: marriage certificate or certificate of registered civil partnership
• tabular CV
• Official certificate of good conduct (certificate type O)
• The certificate of the dental examination in the original or a certified copy.
• Declaration as to whether criminal proceedings or a public prosecutor's investigation are pending against you
• A medical certificate, not older than one month, stating that you are not unfit to practice your profession due to health reasons

Procedure

• You submit your application for approval together with the required documents to the responsible authority
• The responsible authority will examine your application and request any missing documents or information from you.
• After successfully completing the examination, a certificate of approval will be handed to you personally or delivered to you upon receipt.

Processing time

The responsible authority will decide no later than 3 months after receipt of your complete application.
