If your minor child has a residence permit due to his or her good integration in Germany, you can also be granted a residence permit under certain conditions. The residence permit is then usually granted for a limited period. If your residence permit expires but your child's is still valid or is due to be extended, you can also apply for an extension of your residence permit.
