Prerequisites

• You will receive a voting notification if you
  • have German citizenship,
  • are at least 16 years old,
  • have lived in Hamburg for at least 3 months and
  • Their right to vote has not been taken away by a court decision.

Please note

If you are eligible to vote and have not received a voting notification three weeks before voting day (September 21, 2025), please contact a polling station immediately. This also applies if you received a voting notification with incorrect information (for example, an incorrect address).

Homeless people who meet the requirements on October 12, 2025, are also eligible to vote.

Deadlines

You will receive the voting notifications at least 3 weeks before the vote.
