Prerequisites

You can get benefits for:

• Children who attend a day care center or are cared for by a day care worker,
• Pupils who attend a general or vocational school or a pre-school class,

if you receive citizen money or social benefit (SGB II).

Documents required

• Approval notice for citizen’s allowance or short notice (confirmation of benefits).
• The short notice (benefit confirmation) is a certificate that only contains the data required to apply for benefits (name, approval period, date of birth, address, legal basis for receiving benefits).
• The certificate can be requested at the Jobcenter.
• The application form can be found under Links.

Please note

Pocket money and class contributions cannot be accepted.
If you receive a training allowance, no benefits are possible.

Procedure

The day-care center or the day care worker or the school (hereinafter: facility) or you fill out the relevant application form yourself. The institution confirms the costs incurred for the respective excursion/excursions with a stamp and signature. You or the institution will then submit the form to the relevant service and the costs will be transferred to the account specified in the application form.

Processing takes approximately 12 weeks.
