Detailed description
Vehicles that are exempt from registration require a vehicle type approval to obtain an official license plate or an insurance license plate. If the vehicle type approval is no longer available, a replacement certificate must be applied for from the manufacturer.
To do so, you must first apply for a certificate of clearance from the State Department of Transport. This certifies that there are no known vehicle defects and that the vehicle's operating license has not been revoked by the vehicle registration authority. The manufacturer or an officially recognized expert can then issue a replacement operating license.
