If you have completed a state-recognized university or professional qualification in the GDR, it is equivalent to qualifications in the Federal Republic of Germany. You can have the equivalence certified by submitting an application.
You may fly a drone without prior permission if you meet the relevant requirements. However, if the operation poses an increased risk to bystanders, you must apply for an operating permit in advance.
