With ten auditoriums and about 2,200 seats, Kinopolis HafenCity is now Hamburg's largest cinema. The multiplex cinema is located on the top floor of the Westfield Hamburg-脺berseequartier shopping centre in the heart of the HafenCity neighbourhood.
Mega-Size Cinema for Everyone
From blockbusters to live opera broadcasts 鈥� Kinopolis offers a diverse programme for every film lover. As part of the 鈥楨vent Cinema鈥� series, there are screenings of independent films as well as classics from film history. There are also special event series for youngsters: Mein erster Kinobesuch (literally, 鈥楳y First Visit to the Cinema鈥�) is a children鈥檚 programme that uses dimmed lighting and reduced volume and goes without the pre-show programme to give young children the most accessible first cinema experience possible.
Make Every Screening an Event
According to the operator, the Kinopolis cinema was designed with the clear goal to make going to the cinema a holistic experience. This is made possible with state-of-the-art technology, for example: All auditoriums are equipped with Dolby Atmos and state-of-the-art 4K laser projectors, and some auditoriums also feature D-Box Motion Seats that move in sync with action on screen. In addition to the D-Box Motion Seats, visitors can choose between electric recliners, loungers and love seats for two.
The interior design by Chapman Taylor invites visitors to stay and relax in the lounge areas. The Golden Sea Bar in the foyer offers delicious snacks and expertly crafted cocktails.
