- When reporting an emergency to the fire department (112), state the location of the emergency, answer the questions asked by the control centre, and wait until the control centre ends the call.
- When reporting a fire to the fire department (112), state the following information: Where is the fire? What is burning? How big is the fire? What are the immediate dangers? Are people in danger? Wait for any questions and do not hang up until the control centre has ended the call.

110 for Police Emergencies
Dial police hotlineÌý110Ìý(nation-wide) if you require immediate police assistance, for instanceÌýif you've been victim or witnessÌýto a crime or hazardous situation. Examples areÌýhouse break-ins, traffic accidents or domestic violence.
Out-of-Hours MedicalÌýCare
If you require medical assistance outside of regular doctor's office hours, dial 116 117Ìý(nation-wide)Ìýto contact the local on-call medical unit. The operator will determine what next steps to take, for instance if a doctor should come by, or if you should visit the nearest out-of-hours doctor's practice (see map).
