When you think about dancing in Hamburg, electronic club music or German hip-hop parties may well come to mind over partner dancing. But salsa has been a worldwide phenomenon for decades, and ˾ a major city with strong international influences, so it’s really no wonder that this much-loved Latin dance is big in Hamburg.

The city’s salsa dance community has organised and hosted Hamburg’s International Salsa Festival for nearly two decades. The event draws a wide array of international dancers who come to enjoy workshops and shows by teachers famous the world over and, of course, to dance and party late into the night. Because the event is so large, there are plenty of workshops for all levels, beginnersjust learning the basics and advanced dancersalike. So, even if you’re just starting, Hamburg’s International Salsa Festival could be the place for you to find your new musical passion.

Dates: 2024 dates TBD
