The history of the MKG Arts and Crafts Fair goes back more than 130 years. Every year since 1879, international designers and craftsmen have been invited to showcase their work at the Museum of Arts and Crafts (MKG). From gold and silversmithing to furniture design and textile arts: the fair is both a celebration of traditional craft heritage and current trends in arts and crafts.

The highlight of the event is the Justus Brinckmann Prize: this prestigious prize is worth €7,500 and is awarded to one of the exhibitors by a 10-headed, international jury. Promising young talents have the chance to win the Incentive Prize, containing a grant of €2,500.
