Move the North

This cultural festival brings together artists from Hamburg, Copenhagen and Malmö. Regardless of the artistic field, cooperation is key.

The Move the North cultural festival's mission it to further connect three northern cities form three different countries: Hamburg, Copenhagen and Malmö. The goal is to create synergies between artists of all kinds and thereby strengthen connections in between these German, Danish and Swedish cities. Throughout the year, the festival is responsible for 100 days full of concerts, drama, exhibitions, readings, workshops and poetry slams. Next to constant exchange in the fields of music, theatre, film and art, the festival promotes and facilitates international artistic cooperation. Some of the 2019 highlights were included film and photography events, a Pop- and Urban Art exhibition, and a concert series entitled 'Danish Folk meets German Classic and Urban City Exhibition'.
