Discover Hamburg’s Industry

The Long Night of Industry (Lange Nacht der Industrie) offers curious minds a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Hamburg’s industrial powerhouses. Organised by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the Hamburg Industry Association, and the City’s Ministry for Economic Affairs and Innovation, this free event invites participants to join guided evening tours of two selected companies—ranging from global giants to lesser-known “hidden champions”. Each tour begins and ends at a designated meeting point, with transport between sites included.

Unlike open-door events such as the Long Night of Museums, participation requires a successful ticket application via the . Due to security protocols and the nature of industrial sites, applicants are subject to verification and must bring valid photo ID on the evening. Groups of up to five people can register together using a shared group code in the app. With each company offering around 100 minutes to showcase their work, the Long Night of Industry is a fascinating opportunity to discover the innovation, infrastructure, and expertise that drive Hamburg’s economy.
