Jungle Spectacle in the City Â
The beloved tale of the orphaned boy raised by apes now returns to the Hansestadt in the impressive musical version from Disney. Featuring the Oscar-winning music of Phil Collins, the production brings together dynamic aerial acrobatics, a 360-degree immersive set, and the timeless romance of Tarzan and Jane. The story follows Tarzan’s journey of self-discovery as he grapples with love, identity and the pull between two worlds. Â
Set to be staged at the Stage Theater Neue Flora (Stresemannstraße 159a, 22769 Hamburg) from autumn 2025, the show marks the character’s return to Hamburg after the original run from 2008 to 2013. Â
Thrilling Performance Elements Â
In this production, the audience is enveloped in the jungle as never before. From swinging vines suspended above the auditorium to flying ‘apes’ and immersive lighting and sound, the theatre becomes a primeval forest in the city. Â
The musical is suitable for all the family—with admissions for children from three years old, though experience suggests that six years and above may be more appropriate given the intensity of effects. Â
